In CAMON, rent a boat for 2h30 and sail to the different plots invested around the pond of Clermont.

The rental price of a boat is based on the number of people, from 1 to 6 max. including child(ren) under 3 years old

For security reasons, animals are not allowed in the boats. Strollers must be dropped off at reception.

Call for bids - International garden festival — Hortillonnages Amiens 2025

Landscape designers, architects, and visual artists, join the 16th edition of the Festival and be part of a unique artistic adventure !

The International Garden Festival | Hortillonnages Amiens offers landscape creations and works of art accessible to the public, on foot or by boat, on islets of the Hortillonnages in Amiens and along the Somme river. Spread over this exceptional site, these creations pose a quirky or poetic view, sometimes funny or critical but always unexpected, a view on this complex environment, on its history, on its future and on the link between nature and culture.

Application deadline: the 06th December 2024 (11:59 pm – French time)

 

Selected applicants agree to :

  • from 02nd January to 04th January 2025 in Amiens: visit the site where they will be working. The accommodation costs will be paid for by the organisers.
  • on the 7th and 8th February 2025 in Amiens : to take part in a mandatory seminar on the site. During this weekend, the selected applicants will present their projects to other selected artists and members of the Artistic Committee. The accommodation costs will be paid for by the organisers. During these two days, Artists will then have to specify their project (ground plan; provisional schedule and budget).
  • between 3th March and 16th May 2025 : to take part in a creative residence to carry out their project in Amiens. Accommodation costs will be paid for by the organiser. Travel costs and food are included in the production costs.
  • on the 28th and the 29th June 2025 in Amiens : be present to take part in the Festival’s vernissage. Accommodation costs will be covered by the organiser.

SEEKING LANDSCAPE DESIGNER / ARCHITECT FROM THE NETHERLANDS

16th Edition of the International Garden Festival | Hortillonnages Amiens – Carte Blanche to the Netherlands

With the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, this year’s festival will place special emphasis on Dutch landscape design and visual arts.

For the 16th edition of the International Garden Festival | Hortillonnages Amiens, we are seeking a Dutch national and/or a landscape designer/architect based in the Netherlands to design and create a garden in the Hortillonnages of Amiens.

Architects must collaborate with a person who has skills or experience in plant-related fields. Candidates may apply individually or as a group.
